Matching Grants. The Foundation has the capacity to make funds available to nonprofit organizations working on areas of interest to the Foundation and seeking to leverage external funding opportunities with support from the Foundation. In 2010, up to $300,000 has been set aside for this purpose. These requests are considered throughout the year in an expedited manner. Every effort is made to conform to the timelines of external funding sources, customarily by bringing the request to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Foundation Grants Committee and Board. Conference Support. The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky has the capacity to make funds available to nonprofit organizations or coalitions for the conduct of conferences, seminars or symposia that are alighted with its mission and focus areas.
