Drs. Matthew Bush of the University of Kentucky and Karen Krigger of the University of Louisville will discuss what health equity means as well as health equity strategies and practices during the webinar. Reducing health disparities is core to the mission of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, and the webinar is part of the Foundation's Health for a Change training series. The webinar is free, but registration is required. (This webinar is rescheduled from December 2019).
 
Drs. Bush and Krigger both hold endowed chair positions funded by the Foundation. Bush, MD, PHD, is the vice chair for research and an associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at UK's College of Medicine. His research focus is on increasing access to specialty health care for underserved populations. Krigger, MD, is a professor and director for health equity in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the UofL School of Medicine. Her work has included promotion of HIV/AIDS testing and education, and mobile mammogram services.
