(LOUISVILLE, Ky – October 5, 2016) Former W.K. Kellogg Foundation official Dr. Robert F. Long will lead a free, full-day workshop on grant writing at the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky on November 2. Dr. Long will share insights on navigating the world of grant funding, discuss what makes for successful grant proposals and how to frame a creative project for funding.
The Strategic Fundraising: Effective Grant Development workshop, part of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky’s “Health for a Change” training series, is limited to 100 participants and advance registration is required. It will be held on Wednesday, November 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Foundation’s offices at 1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 100, in Louisville. Lunch will be provided. Dr. Long, currently is Visiting Distinguished Professor of Nonprofit Leadership at Murray State University, in Murray, Kentucky. He teaches organizational and leadership development in the Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program. Prior to joining Murray State University in 2008, Dr. Long retired from a 15-year career with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation where he served as vice president for programs.
